Kafunta Safaris has officially reopened two of its properties, Kafunta River Lodge and The Sunset House, for the 2026 safari season in South Luangwa National Park, Zambia.
Located on the floodplains of the Luangwa River, both properties offer access to one of Africa’s most wildlife-rich regions, known for its walking safaris and strong concentration of game. Kafunta River Lodge provides a relaxed, well-established safari experience, while the Sunset House offers a more private villa-style stay, ideal for families and small groups.
Kafunta’s two other camps, Three Rivers Camp and Island Bush Camp, set in more remote areas of the park, will reopen on 25 May.
Kafunta Safaris will also be present at several key industry events in 2026, including Indaba in Durban (12-14 May), Experience Africa in London (22-24 June), and, of course, the APTA Global Forum in Livingstone (24-27 September). Industry partners interested in connecting or arranging a meeting are invited to contact Izzy at marketing@kafuntasafaris.com.
