The 2026 APTA Global Forum in Livingstone, Zambia will offer delegates more than a front-row seat to one of Africa’s most iconic natural wonders. As part of the Forum program, attendees will have the opportunity to experience the destination firsthand through a curated Day of Adventure designed to showcase the extraordinary range of experiences available in and around Victoria Falls.
Taking place on September 25th, the Day of Adventure will give participants a deeper look at Livingstone as a world-class gateway for adventure, wildlife, river-based experiences, and luxury travel. The activities are being generously sponsored by Tusks & Trails, with experiences provided by Livingstone’s Adventure, giving APTA delegates a valuable opportunity to explore the destination in a way that is immersive, memorable, and directly relevant to selling Zambia to North American travelers.
The planned Day of Adventure activities include:
- Bobo Camp — An exclusive helicopter-accessed white sand beach experience in the Batoka Gorge, featuring scenic flights, gourmet dining, and a private riverside setting.
- Microlight Flights Over Victoria Falls — An exhilarating open-air flight offering a bird’s-eye view of Victoria Falls, the Zambezi River, and the surrounding landscape.
- Helicopter Flights Over Victoria Falls — A scenic flight showcasing the scale and beauty of Victoria Falls, the Batoka Gorge, and the Zambezi River from above.
- Half-Day Canoeing on the Zambezi with Brunch on the Riverbank — A gentle paddle through tranquil channels of the Zambezi, followed by a relaxed brunch in a scenic riverside location.
- Morning River Safari with Brunch on an Island — A leisurely boat safari along the Zambezi River, combining wildlife viewing with a gourmet brunch served on a private island.
- Eco Quad Trail — A guided quad bike adventure through the landscapes surrounding Livingstone, showcasing local wildlife, communities, and natural scenery.
- Rhino Tracking & Game Drive in Mosi-oa-Tunya National Park — A guided experience tracking Zambia’s endangered white rhinos on foot, followed by a game drive through the park, home to giraffe, zebra, buffalo, and a variety of antelope species.
- Guided Tour of Victoria Falls — A classic Livingstone experience offering delegates the chance to encounter one of the world’s most spectacular natural landmarks up close.
The Day of Adventure reflects one of the core strengths of the APTA Global Forum: giving North American Africa specialists the chance to move beyond presentations and product updates, and instead experience the destination in a way that helps them sell it with greater confidence, detail, and authenticity.
For travel advisors and tour operators, these firsthand experiences are especially valuable. Livingstone is not simply a stopover for Victoria Falls; it is a destination that combines soft adventure, active experiences, wildlife, river journeys, luxury moments, and easy access to one of Africa’s most famous natural landmarks. The Forum’s activity program is designed to help delegates understand how these pieces fit together for different types of travelers, from luxury clients and adventure seekers to families, honeymooners, and first-time safari travelers.
The 2026 APTA Global Forum will take place September 25–27, 2026, at the Avani Victoria Falls Resort in Livingstone, Zambia. The Forum will bring together leading North American travel advisors, tour operators, African suppliers, destinations, and tourism partners for education, networking, destination immersion, and meaningful business development.
With the Forum already generating strong interest and only a very limited number of spots remaining, Africa travel professionals who have not yet registered are encouraged to secure their place as soon as possible. This year’s Forum is shaping up to be a powerful showcase for Zambia’s growing appeal among North American travelers — from adventure and wildlife to luxury, conservation, and once-in-a-lifetime natural experiences.
APTA extends its sincere thanks to Tusks & Trails for its generous sponsorship and support of the Day of Adventure, and to Livingstone’s Adventure for helping bring these unforgettable experiences to life for Forum delegates.
